Today’s not so good because…

I did the lamest thing one could ever do at work….getting out without finishing what should be done for today. Call me unprofessional, but I, shamefully am. Next, we weren’t fetched by my ‘rent at Jack’s Ridge today, so we had no choice but to go up and down the JRidge mountain by foot, taxi, and pedicab. Third, Ate Chang’s clutch bag had been snatched by some teen orc. It contains 6k of her life, digicam, atms, and cellphones.

at least… there’s this friend who wrote me this:
Insurance companies now sells cheaper term life insurance plan. Since the start of the recession, many of the insurance company declared bankruptcy or worse, closed down. For their business to recuperate, insurance companies decided to sell cheaper life insurance plan to the market and recover from their losses. But with the economy still on the brink, people are still uncertain to invest their money on these kinds of things.

winter time

With winter just around the corner, the furnace will be doing its work again. But before using your furnace, you should check all its parts. Don’t forget to clean your furnace filters to prevent from accumulating dust bunnies and cause you sneezing attacks all through out winter! Remember, a clean furnace can maximize the machine’s efficiency as well as minimize your electric bill.

I am excited for a lot of things. Tomorrow, we are to shop for candies for HHF’s Trick or Treat Party for the kids. I am kind of excited for that because this will be my first time to contribute for a trick or treat—I haven’t been trick or treating when I was a kid because it’s not just an “in” thing here in our place or in our family. I have to remind Morris, my boss, to purchase new electrical supplies for all’s been damaged in the other room of the tutorial center. So I guess he’ll just give me money again and let me do the shopping. Anyway, I am excited for this coming weekend too because I am going to play drums in my Dad’s turn in leading the worship singing. And on Saturday, I will be leading the singing too and I’m excited to introduce new songs. I hope many will be able to sing those new songs. I am excited that my friends from CDO and Cebu are arriving this weekend for the Festival too. He will be there….and I am really surprised. I am excited to get my salary too. and I am excited for tonight’s practice. Yeah. Tonight’s gonna be a good night.:)

My Hotel

Lola and I had lunch at My Hotel for the second time around today. I don’t know if she really likes it there or it’s just that it’s cheap plus it’s a hotel and they give discounts to senior citizens like her. IF I would have to rate the hotel from 0-10, I would probably give it a 5. Five because yes, they have a restaurant, but when I asked the difference between a caesar’s salad and a vegetable salad, the bloody waitress can’t even give me the answer until she went inside the kitchen to ask the chef maybe. When I asked her about what kind of salad dressing they put into the vegetable salad, she went to the kitchen again and asked the chef or some bloody crew. So then I picked the caesar’s salad for I don’t like thousand island dressing on my plate. After ten minutes, the waitress came in again and told me that the caesar’s salad isn’t available. I almost wanted to smash her face with the tissue holder. Anyway, the first time we were there, I asked for some bloody table napkin but funny they told me the lamest reason: we forgot to buy table napkins. The foreign guy at the next table is busy browsing some pages, maybe Cleveland Job Search kind-of-page, and he looks pissed off with the unstable wi-fi internet. So I guess that’s a super minus point for a new hotel, right? The floor sweeper too.. .man.. he should have seen all of us eating at the restaurant! Why can’t he put down his broom and mop first and let us all finish eating. Lola has been complaining about the dust..this and that.. and their spoons and forks.. it’s like you’re just eating in a plain eatery or a canteen. Can’t they even purchase those heavier spoons and forks? The things bend whenever you try to cut your food with those. I hope we won’t be getting near that place again on our next bank visit.

Reckless Report

If our angels wasn’t around and alert last Sunday night, two possible things might have happened. #1 We might be in a hospital bed or worse ICU, and recovering. #2 We might be finally be sent 6-feet under or be cremated after a five-day wake. What happened last Sunday night was an accident. We almost got hit by many cars or even trucks because of one tiny act of irresponsibility. Well at least we only hit one little jeep and our van’s front bumper—-damaged. We almost gave our ‘rents a series of heart attacks and we got ourselves grounded from using the van. My brother is reckless and so is his girlfriend….and everyone knows that. Thank God, we’re spared from a huge accident and possible family drama. Thank God, we ended late night on that Sunday’s practice. Plus, we need not the help of rv towing this time, unlike about almost two years ago where we really needed one. Yes, it was the first time our van got into this accident near the international airport. It smashed the front edge of the van and damaged another passenger vehicle at the front. My brother said it was because the brakes were not working properly, but heck, everybody knows it’s because it was too late to jam on the brakes because he sped up real fast while going through a downward slope road. Next time, I will insist my Kuya to do the driving. Kuya’s best at keeping safe and being calm. My younger brother’s the opposite.

Work etc

It has been three weeks since I have been helping out my boss in the tutorial center. Currently, I have three functions here at My Tutorial Center, formerly known as The Greenbox. One, I am the regular piano and guitar teacher. We have another piano teacher here but she holds her lessons only on Sundays. Two, I teach a grade-1 student named Johanne. Since nobody seems to want to teach this kid, I then volunteered myself in doing it. I sometimes get to teach walk-in students whenever the need arises. Three, I am now the regular staff here at Greenbox. As a staff here at Greenbox, I am assigned to remind my boss to make the necessary receipts, sign some papers, and buy items needed in the center such as markers, area rugs, air fresheners, aerosol sprays, etc. I am also assigned to entertain new clients and tutor applicants. Sometimes, I am also forced to decide for some things at the center such as reassigning students to other tutors because their regular tutor is absent and transferring them from one room to the other if ever the air-conditioner or the bulb lights malfunction. My job here as a staff may sound easy to some, but if you have three jobs and functions to do at the same time, heck, it’s the hardest work ever.

haven’t been eating much.

One of my friends actually told me I lost weight. I don’t know if it’s the truth or just a consolation, but it felt really good. I wanted to lose some weight because I know getting big and bigger doesn’t suit me much. Plus, I don’t like buying new and bigger clothes. I hate buying clothes for myself. For almost a week now, I have been escaping from eating large quantities of food, especially rice. I am very allergic to chicken and egg too, and that forces me to not to eat proper meals. I haven’t taken in appetite suppressants but many are asking if I have due to the fact that I am not at all interested in devouring to the food served at the table. So what do I eat now? Well I am in-love with whole grain oats from Australian Harvest. This helps me improve my digestive system too. I am also into Chowking’s Chao Fan which is synonymous to fried rice and to barbecued pork. I also feast on little Sumo cookies and drain all the sweetness away with water. Yeah..water.

I hope next week I will be able to lose a kilo or two of my weight. . If not… I might get hold of that biofit tea sold at Watson’s. haha. Sounds like a D-move, eh?

loving facebook apps

I am not a gamer. If I am and if I have been a gamer, I must have wasted all my work days into playing—alone. I can be obsessive sometimes, if you must know. Faceboo. I have joined a number of apps and games there, only to help out friends who are in dire need of crew for them to level up…but among all those apps I have joined, I only participated and liked three of it: Street Racing, Friends for Sale, and School of Wizardry.

Street Racing - here I am able to buy the cars that I like, upgrade them and challenge the other racers into a race. Unlike farmtown or farmville, you can’t actually see the characters playing. They don’t move. Only your stats move…but even with that, it is still exciting. What I like best about the app is that I am able to unlock and receive rewards whenever I win in a challenge.

Friends for Sale - this may be the lamest app in facebook, but heck, I like it anyway. The only reason why I am sticking to it is that I can “buy” the people I like and let them do things such as kicking other people in the butt, cleaning the toilet, making them hug a friend in your friends list, etc. THe only people I can’t buy are those I can’t afford. When my “pets” will become expensive later, I don’t think I will be able to buy them. That’s why I am having them now…and for as long as I can afford them. ^___^

School of Wizardry - I only joined last night and so far, I am enjoying it. I like the app because it loads fast—-something that Street Racing is not. You can also access the search button of facebook and search for the web directories list to look for sites which gives you ideas on how to play the game. It levels up fast. You gain stats faster than SR or Mafia Wars. Plus, whenever you challenge another witch or wizard into a duel, you can easily view their stats and see if you’re just an underdog or not. The app is so easy to use.
